I always find it hilarious to read what other people think about yamis and hikaris. There's this for instance.
I'm still trying to figure out what the hell her profile means. If you didn't know, let's recap: in the context of the Yu-Gi-Oh! fandom, "hikari" means light half and "yami" means dark half. Halves imply that 1/2 and 1/2 make a whole and solid one. But... how is it that this person (White Wolf of the Moon Deux) has not only both yamis and hikaris but... has multiple ones? I'm very confused. Mostly, the whole profile just reads like a fantasy.
Excerpt:
Yami Number 4: Ray
He is a vampire inspired by the book The last Vampire 2. He has come to me pleading to live in the dark confines of my big floating mansion.
I have fantasies like this but it usually involves some emo type dude who is faceless and nameless. He comes to live in my massive mansion and I teach him how to be un-emo. I'm dead serious. I don't even like emo boys in real life because they're annoying, but I always have a dream where I'm in love with the same emo kid. He gets better in every dream. There was this one especially poignant scene where we were running from a monster that was destroying the world and I was all like "I'm gonna fall!" and he went "Don't worry... I'll catch you," and in the dream, I thought "This is bullshit!"
Point of that was that while I have my own fantasies, I don't make yamis/hikaris out of them. You could argue that Marlie's a dream, but I dare you to find a dream yami who comes back from class, talks a mile a minute, grabs a book, sits down on your bed, reads the book for five seconds, puts it down, falls asleep, and two hours later begins sleeptalking like she does.
Marlie: "No... absolutely not. What do you need it for? For the phone? You don't need ham for that, I'm telling you, it's all in the cords. The wires are important."
... what?
